Tamar Organization

Tamar is a multidisciplinary organization providing culturally sensitive psychosocial and educational services for Bedouin and Arab communities in Israel. It focuses on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and preventing risky behaviors among children, teens, and young adults. Tamar operates specialized units offering trauma counseling, family violence prevention, workforce preparation, and early childhood support. The organization also runs an Arabic-speaking mental health hotline and is developing innovative initiatives like mobile daycare and resilience ambassadors. With partnerships across healthcare, academia, and government, Tamar impacts over 1,500 individuals annually, fostering community unity and well-being during crises and beyond.
