uses the power of surfing to boost self-confidence and achievement in at-risk youth, helping them face life’s challenges. It serves teens from low socioeconomic backgrounds, including those in ‘Last Chance’ schools and youth programs. In response to the October 7th Hamas attacks, HaGal Sheli launched an emergency trauma intervention program to help Israeli youth process trauma and prevent PTSD. The “Tools from the Waves” program, in collaboration with the Israeli Ministry of Defense, provides immediate assistance, combining physical activity with emotional support to promote healing and resilience.
