About

About: National Institute for Neuropsychological Rehabilitation (AR). BrainD is a data-driven virtual agent designed to manage the rehabilitation process following brain and psychological injuries, based on personal information and accumulated professional experience in the rehabilitation field. Behind the agent will be data-driven technology and professionals from the National Institute for Neuropsychological Rehabilitation, including rehabilitation doctors and consulting psychiatrists. BrainD will provide information to the individual, their family, and the treatment team, guiding them through medical and rehabilitation processes from the moment of diagnosis until achieving a routine life alongside the injury. We see BrainD as the first module, which can later be expanded with additional modules based on the needs identified by different stakeholders. Two modules that can currently be offered include: Module for the treatment team: This will include information and applications that support therapists and the medical team. This module will integrate learning tools and peer consultation options to improve both individual and systemic care for patients. Module focused on the treatment itself: For example, using a platform for remote group therapy and support from peers. We propose building the system in a way that collects data to allow future machine learning integration, ultimately replacing some human interventions with computerized agents.
