About: The Summit Institute was founded in 1973 and since then has been dedicated to the advancement and rehabilitation for young people facing mental challenges. In addition, for the past 20 years, Summit has operated a foster service assisting hundreds of children and at-risk youth from the Jerusalem and Southern regions who have been removed from their homes in accordance with the wishes of their parents or via court order. The service also works with 13 ’emergency shelter’ families who are available to provide immediate support for children unable to live in their parent’s homes at a moment’s notice. The Summit Institute identifies foster homes and works with the families to ensure foster children are being afforded the warm and supportive environments these children so need and deserve.
